Yes, the sharpie thing was a stupid mistake, but you're all making a big deal out of something that happened years ago, and by now she surely learned to never do it again. People do wind up making mistakes with their pets that sadly get them killed, but it happens.

It doesn't matter how the pig died its still animal cruelty dying the animals fur with sharpie. If humans can get high off of sharpies what do you think it does to an animal smaller than us. Humans get nauseous from smelling it would make a pig very sick, and the marker is toxic. This is why people annoy me so much it would have taken her 5 minutes to look it up but humans will not be bothered to do that even though it would be better for they're pets.

you know I can see how someone who loves they're piggles could make the mistake, I know people with light hair who use sharpie to add extreme colors to they're hair, someone might think what doesn't hurt me wont hurt my pig...... If her piggie died becuase of this she probably is feeling enough guilt about that. It was a stupid mistake that could have been prevented with a little research if she did do it that way. looks to me like pig had white fur were the color is anyways so it wouldn't require much dying if it was dye. look just get off this person's case?

Looking at her pets, the only thing that I guess could even be considered SLIGHTLY mean is the dying of the fur with sharpie. Even then, it didn't seem to phase the guinea pig. If it did, well, I'm sure this person wouldn't do it AGAIN.
You guys are making this one sound like she's an evil horrible person that kicks her guinea pigs across her kitchen or ties them up to her ceiling with no food or water or something.

Maybe so, but I don't think she would've kept the sharpie in the guinea pig's fur for THAT long. However I don't know if she did or not, but does anyone else here? Aside from that one guinea pig, the others she had seem well-taken care of and healthy. If there were any problems the guinea pig had with those sharpies, I have a feeling she would've done something about it, don't you? =/ Doesn't seem to be quite the negligent type to her pets. This was a poor decision on her part using sharpie to color fur, but past that, I see no other error.

It's just that people look and see some move someone pulls that might've been unethical at the time, and then they blow it up and make the person seem like they completely abuse/neglect their animals. =/ It's so stupid, because other than the sharpie thing, her pets seem fine.

Yes, but they do make pet dye. I know the person used sharpie, I know the fumes could have been bad for the little guy, but this person hasn't been online for.. let's see, about 5 weeks in a month..

We dye our own hair, people dye the hair of their poodles, it was a sharpie marker, cruelty to animals is testing shampoos on rabbits eyes and make-up on pigs skin. It died because it ate something it wasn't meant to, and I bet she was really upset about that!

I thought it made her look unique. She had two cavies on July 4th. And saddly she had to be put to sleep a month or so afterward because she ate some corn cob bedding. by the way love your prints. especially the black and white guinea pig.
