Favorite TV shows: I'm more into the drama series than I am comedies. My favorites are Criminal Minds, Person of Interest, C.S.I, and C.S.I. New York, and Fringe.Favorite bands / musical artists: Tons, but to name few: 3 Doors Down, Three Days Grace, Lifehouse, Sarah McLachlan, Evanescence, Breaking Benjamin, Matchbox 20, Kelly Clarkson, Anna Nalick, OneRepublic, The Script, Cold Play, Sara Bareilles, Queen, Bill Joel.
Favorite books: The Search For Wondla~Tony DiTerlizzi. The Thirteenth Tale~Diane Setterfield. The Forgotten Garden~Kate Morton. The Inheritance Cycle~Christopher Paolini. The Edge Chronicles~Chris Riddell and Paul Stewart. These are the ones I can think of right now.
Tools of the Trade: Mostly graphite and colored pencils. But I'm exploring with watercolor pencils as well now.
Other Interests: When I'm not working, I'm reading or listening to music or drawing. I don't really watch a lot of tv. I mean, I have my series that I like, but I'm not a big tv watching type. I love the computer though! :D
# About me
I've been drawing ever since I can remember. I started out drawing horses, and they're still some of my best subjects.
As of mid-last-year I enrolled in an art school. It's all done through the mail, I send my tests back and they get graded. So far I've got all A's, but it's been pretty basic too, so... we'll see how it goes later on.
My main mediums that I work in are pencil, both graphite and charcoal, and colored pencils. I've tried my hand at watercolors and acrylics with no luck so far. I regress every time I pick up a brush.
Whoever said "painting is like drawing in color" either had some mad multi-medium talents, (something that I'm unfamiliar and envious of) or was some cruel idiot who lied to us all.
I got my first digital camera about 7 years ago, and haven't stopped taking pictures yet. I've been told by many people who've seen them, that I "have a good eye". But I think it's more just the fact that I know what'll look good.
Last year I bought myself another digital camera that has even more capabilities than my old one; it’s opened up a whole different aspect of possibilities, and made me love photography all over again.
As to my drawings, I've entered various things in different competitions. One was a local magazine that had a kid’s arts section. I won, and got coupons as a prize.
Another was our State Fair, and I took 2nd place to a Scotty dog on grey construction paper.
Both of those, though, were years ago.
My art school will have a comic competition in the spring, and I'd like to enter, so I'm thinking up ideas for it. So far I have 4.
I’ll try and stay current with new things that I create, and my progress as a student. Later on in the program it teaches ink and painting, so maybe I’ll finally be able to paint like I’ve always wanted to.
I also hope they teach me how to better transfer my ideas to paper, because right now I have some really great ideas, things that I know would be a hit on here, but I don’t have the talent to correctly go about getting it down; or at least getting it drawn out and look anything like what I’d originally had pictured.
I've known of Deviant Art for a couple of years now, and I finally decided to join, and hopefully someone will see my art. And who knows, maybe something will come of it in the future.

I completely understand.
I kept waiting for someone to say something like that when I started adding things to that folder... But you're the first.
I really put it the Stock/reference file because it doesn't go with any of the other folders.
It's more or less my catch-all folder for things I find inspiring.
And chances are, if I ever get around to using it, it'll be as a reference regarding something specific about it, like the eyes, or the way the fan folds out.
But not to worry, even if it's something small like that, I promise to give you credit.
Anyway, thank you for understanding, and not freaking out when you saw where I put it.
Truth be told only a VERY small portion of that folder is actually stock. I just haven't gotten around to organizing my lists better yet.
