Actually, that definition is also correct. Although, I heard another tern for the upside down pentagram. It's just a sick joke some fool did a while ago, or that's what some clerk told my mother. The five corners of the star represent the four elements [fire, water, air, earth] and the Spirit.

I have been researching the pentagram for many months, and I never found that definition of it. The right side up pentagram means protect, all the elements including Spirit, and such. I'd rather not turn it upside down, also.
