There'd probably be a whole different theme behind his hero persona.  Remember Irons was inspired to become Steel because of Superman's example and because he saved his life at some point in the past

Note: The events of Injustice - Year One will take place shortly before the events of Captain America: Civil War, not after it. Meaning that Cap will had still lead the New Avengers that consist of War Machine, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Falcon and The Vision.

If Sam Wilson became a Green Lantern while his plane was going to crash, if the ring choose he as a guardian of Earth and saved his life by putting itself on Sam, what would Wilson's reaction(s) be to having the ring on him...as well as floating in the air by the ring's power? What happens if Sam was told what happened to him among other thing and he decided wants to be a GL? And if Sinestro was his trainer in the use of his ring, how well would Sam be with it?

Note: This scenario would happen before Sam Wilson met Steve Rogers while he was inside the Red Skull's body. Meaning that Steve will STILL be in Red Skull's body albeit longer than he'd like while RS would be in Steve's.

I don't think there'd be much of a difference, Hal and Sam have very much the same moral core, but they are different people so safe to say the ring would be used differently.

Would 'Captain America' had eventually been found out by a hero (by Iron Man) to be the Red Skull without Sam being involve? Also, would that hero found out about the trust be too late in saving the day?
