You're most welcome. Let's not forget however Christianity had also its darkest ages and countless people have been murdered during crusades for the "purification" of "infidels". Fortunately for us that happened centuries ago. Some still have to come out of their middle age though.

That's right. And that's the reason I did not specifically state a particular religion or belief, because there are lunatics everywhere, Christianity, Islam, Buddhism, ... attacking Muslims in general because of the happenings in Paris is not fair and counterproductive. And so I tried to detach my poem from a specific religion and move it to a more personal level which says: I don't care what you believe, there is no justification for murder.

I know or at least understand how it feels not to be given the opportunity to do exactly as planned but in the end the result is much worth keeping. I personally love the background. As for the model, she's absolutely beautiful. I have no idea how much energy you've spent and how much disappointment you've felt but you should not worry about this painting, really. Don't make me wrong, your pastel works are absolutely stunning but this one has a little something different and I like it quite a lot. That's just me of course but I think you might like to know
