Responding to your shoutbox note here because I couldn't quite figure out how to reply there... Yes, I've been here for awhile, though I only got active in the sense of engaging others here in the past several months. Before that I was a super lurker and sometime uploader, fantasizing that I'd be somehow "discovered" here admidst the noise and the plentiful talent.

It's only been recent that I became more active on Flickr, in part because I needed a site to upload family and personal stuff that I didn't want to have reflect on the more serious or intentional or edgier work. And then I found the @dailyshoot and lost all perspective... well, not ALL.

I've been getting overwhelmed a bit preparing for upcoming changes in my routine lately (I'll be adding at least an hour of travel time to my schedule once the school year starts) so my time for Daily Shoot has also been very limited.

Mainly, I've been trying to get back to a few projects that I've been drifting on lately, so anyway, I know the feeling. Also trying to detach from my YouTube "commitment" that has been feeling more and more like a complete time waster lately, and trying to get my daughter interested in perhaps collaborating on some video projects.

Good to hear from you here. My first login in weeks, I think.

I've looked, winter seems to have passed us by and everything is just kinda of brown. Time to brush up on techniques so when the good weather comes, I'll be ready. It's colder than a witch's tit in a brass bra here in New England lately
