I wanted to ask, if you used a pattern for your sophie cosplay. I kind of wanted to make her blue dress. I think the yellow and blue are very similar though.

I did use a pattern, although I modified the top a LOT. It's Simplicity 3723.
All of her dresses are nearly identical, so yeah, it's very similar. I just made the yellow skirt a bit fuller and added the ruffle on the end, not to mention the extra collar and brooch.
