I see that you want to write a novel about anthro characters and wish to make it as realistic as possible. I have nine books published so far (working on #10) - 6 novels, 2 short stories, and 1 art book. If you want your anthro characters to act in a realistic manner, I suggest spending a little time at your local public library and take a look through the books to find info on specific species, or searching same on the Internet. I've spent a lot of time researching the behaviors and mannerisms of the various species I've modeled my own characters on. If you ever need any suggestions, pointers, or such, feel free to PM or e-mail me and I'll help if I can.
