I didn't even know it was a cypher before someone else told me, but I didn't know the name until just a few minutes ago. It was supposed to be a different language.. Dangit. I wanted to be unique now I have to go make up an actual language-

Thanks for the invitation but I put way too much effort into my designs to just hand them away, especially when I reuse certain details from older drawings for new ones. I'd rather not run the risk of losing one of my 'children', even if I do lose. I like the idea of the series but the whole owning someone else's design throws me off. Why can't you make one yourself?

It's fine, and of course I can make the design myself, the point is to give others an opportunity to be able to have a hand in the projects creation. This also gives variety to the cast, as I tend to repeat my own preferences in my designs as well. (Which is totally fine btw, the main thing I don't want is... This: Someone's design lost last contest so they used the same exact design as the main character for their comic. The design was good but didn't win, so I was hoping to use it elsewhere. Now I can't because they're using it.) As for the owning it even if you lose, I've addressed this to another and will just repost it here.
"First contest I got a handful of awesome designs that didn't fit what I was looking for so they didn't win, but I was hoping to use the designs for other characters. Unfortunately those contestants after they lost just went and pretty much took the character back and used it themselves. Just because a design doesn't win doesn't mean I didn't want to use it. Honestly, I'm likely going to sneak in as many designs I can in the series,(I didn't mention this in the video as this isn't a promise, if a character doesn't fit anywhere, they won't be in the series so I didn't want anyone thinking this is a guaranteeΒ or something) the main thing is they're not going to be apart of the main cast. That's why I don't want them used elsewhere, I'd like the option opened to still use them in this universe without worrying of them having a doppelganger in another series. It could get confusing.Β
If you don't win or get mentioned as a runner up I'm fine releasing that contract, just add a note you'd like the ownership back if you don't win when/if you send in an entry."
It's alright if you don't want to enter, I've had this part ruffle a lot of people up. Really good designs will likely be used though, it just will be more minor roles. Don't worry, next contest I'll remove that part. It's amazing how much it's messed this contest up. XD I'm still learning, just gotta keep working on figuring out how to do a contest smoothly. There will be more contests in the future, it's just this is the last major character contest for a while.

Well you know you CAN change the way you draw. For instance my Minecraft gijinkas aren't drawn the way I normally draw. They all have their noses fragmented to differentiate between the Minecraft universe drawings and my other series. Plus I've been using more a variety of eye shapes as opposed to my fairy characters. Just gather a ton of references like hairstyles and eye shapes and just make a character using your favorite pictures when you want a new character.

The variety isn't the main point, letting people contribute to the project is. I could design and make the whole thing by myself, of course, but I thought it would be cooler letting people contribute and participate in it's creation. It's fine though, I understand your not really interested in it.
