Just another one of us whose screwed around with art our entire lives. This is where I screw around.
I almost always draw my original characters, as I am an avid writer, and almost focus on that more than my art because hey, I'm a dweeb and those ideas have to come from somewhere. Other than that, I'm pretty boring .u.

Yeah, most of the time...! I've been dabbling in some digital lately, but the majority of my stuff is still traditionally drawn, colored, and then scanned in. UvU

Thanks, your art is pretty neat (lineart and color wise) . u . ). I've tried scanning some traditional sketches before and it looks pretty different from yours but then again I am pretty messy haha.

It's just all about practice...!
I've been perfecting my scan method for many years now and know pretty much automatically how to fix the picture so it looks right, but that all just came out of a ton of patience and experimentation. It looks like your digital work is pretty neatly laid out so that's a plus! I just started digital so its hard for me to get nice clean lines or good colors. The most important thing for scanning in traditional sketches is yes, just making sure its clean enough that the images come through alright. They don't need to be perfect, but its definitely worth taking the time to go back through and tighten up/darken up some lines and make sure your values are contrasted enough

Before I was a bit impatient on the whole process but eventually I realized I needed to take my time. I'm still a little new to the scanning process of things and retouching drawings but I'll keep your advice in mind.

No problem! I really enjoy how detailed your art is and I can't really put it into words, but your drawings have a lot of personality, and I really like that.
