well i dont know anything about WOTC , but i tend to make up stuff a lot since i am in the art and gaming industry or rather i practice it . as for D&D stuff i tend to be unorthodox doing stuff not based on tradition of RPG of this type but rather similar to open world and Jrpgs . Β

A lot of campaigns have semi open worlds. I don't really care about specifics, making interesting stuff out of Forgotten Realms canon is the best part in being a DM from what I heard. And unorthodox campaigns should be more interesting than the typical ones.
