# About me

Hello! Hello~!
I see you stumbled onto my page for some odd reason.... (I'd rather not know how)
Anyway, you're welcome to look at my stuff, I'd greatly appreciate it! (Maybe give a llama, receive a llama)
I always watch whoever watches me back also~

I'll just sum up a bit about myself then. I cosplay and do geeky/nerdy things with my significant other. I work mostly with a camera, an exacto knife, and (spray/metallic) paint, out side of needed skills for cosplaying I don't have much practice in the digital drawings but I hope to be well rounded eventually. =x

When I'm not working on cosplay line ups I play online games, dream of doing a stream channel, and attempt to get our house fixed up X_X (Juggling stuff this early in life freedom is tough)

Passion. It constantly drives me forward.I don't have any fans, any helpers, any backup. I pull myself from my raw drive to get things done. I've never had any personal support. I'm not close to my family. I value what I have.

Yes! It's been good, college is taking up most of my time and the other is being consumed by the anticipation and obsession of Mass Effect 3, haha

You're welcome! I love your cuts, they're so pretty and I can't cut on such small paper. =]
I hope you've been doing well~

SinistrosePhosphate In reply to Lavinark [2012-02-23 03:13:46 +0000 UTC]

Aah, yes... Mass Effect 3! (I don't play, but I am surrounded by gamers who have been telling me about it for months... ) Besides... it sounds like a better idea than having all your time tied up with college, right?

I've been horribly busy myself. My work has been awful demanding lately (more so than usual, I suppose) which drives me up the wall sometimes. I've been told I need to stop being such a workaholic and should have a life outside of work... but it's awful tough when I spend 12 hours a day in that place!

Thank you so very much for your lovely comment, too. I think anyone can cut that small, given the right paper and the right tools. It's just a matter of experimenting and practicing, that's all. Besides, I have to say you have done some pretty good cutting work yourself. Mucha wouldn't have looked as nice in a small scale, I don't think...?

Yes I guess it is better than getting wrapped up in collage all the time xD; I don't normally play favorites when it comes to games because they normally all have an element that makes them stand out as to why I like it and then there are other things that balance them out, but the ME series is one that surpasses my usual rule.

12 hours at work? Wow D= I haven't been employed yet, but i'm dreading it and it's hard to find a job here. My aunt was out of work for months (Though i'm not sure if she was actually trying hard to get a job) Still... the economy these days...

And you're welcome! I try to be very careful when I cut and i've had to cut small pieces before, but sometimes i'm still amazed that I manage to pull off some cuts. Hehe and thank you as well

SinistrosePhosphate In reply to Lavinark [2012-02-24 15:08:03 +0000 UTC]

ME has always been done really well, I think. And even after so many years, it hasn't really disappointed anyone. It's never boring, that's for sure. Like what I said last time, I personally don't play games, but I am surrounded by connoisseurs who talk constantly about games. I like to think I've learned a lot from them...

Aah, well... I might actually add that my job is rather specialised. And both the social demands and the demands of the job itself are high. I can assure you, however, that most jobs out there don't require you to put in as many hours as mine does - and for the better, I am sure. But you're right; times are tough right now. To have a job and keeping it is awful important already!

Aah, well... there are a lot of folks here who specialise in small cuts, I think. And I think the paper makes a big difference. Most of the people who specialises in small cuts use black origami paper. But they are nonexistent where I live (besides, black alone is awful boring at times...) so I have to venture out and see what I can find. Once in a while I get lucky, I guess. Oh... and you are more than welcome. I mean every word I say!

Oh thank you so much! I love your cuts too. I looked at your tutorial and it looks a lot easier than how I do it =]
Maybe i'll try it sometime if you don't mind

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SinistrosePhosphate In reply to Lavinark [2011-09-25 03:54:42 +0000 UTC]

Oh, dear me... I don't mind at all!
In fact, if you find the tutorial useful than that's all that matters. I thought I'd create it to let people know that paper-cutting can be easy and enjoyable. The art form should not exclude anyone who wants to learn, after all.

So if you do give it a try, let me know. I'd be really interested to see the results!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Lavinark In reply to SinistrosePhosphate [2011-09-25 05:22:53 +0000 UTC]

Okay, thank you! The tutorial was very well done by the way, lovely job!

Since I also use free pictures or those I find online like mucha's I might do a print layering idea to cover more space. Kind of like collage the image prints out over the paper I plan to cut them out on, making sure the lines intersect. I think it'd be a lot more fun =]

I'll let you know what I manage out of it

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SinistrosePhosphate In reply to Lavinark [2011-09-25 20:41:16 +0000 UTC]

Thank you for letting me know. It's so nice to get some feedback when it comes to tutorials. It's the first I've done and I've been waiting for someone to tell me how I did. I guess I'm waiting for another paper-cutter to come along and give me their opinions. And... here you are. So... thank you very much.

There are folks who do multiple layers of paper cuts and layer one on top of another. It's a bit tedious but in some cases the effects can be really nice. I have a good feeling about doing something like that to Mucha's work. I think it really would be a lot of fun. So don't be shy, definitely let me know how things turn out for you.
