Hey sweeting! I don't have any cake, but I do bring you "The Birthday Dirge" (as sung to the death knell):
-ahem-
"Happy Birth-Day! Happy Birth-Day!
Gloom and doom and dark despair
People dying everywhere!
Happy Birth-Day! Happy Birth-Day!
Now that you're the age you are
Your demise cannot be far!
Happy Birth-Day! Happy Birth-Day!
Storm the castle, take the keep,
kill the women, but save the sheep!
Happy Birth-Day! Happy Birth-Day!!!
Hope it's a great one, sweetie!!!

I'm so laughing right now!!! No worries, my friend, I know you're busy, but If I don't harass you, who will??? School sounds like crazy-fun-madtimes!!! Doing readings, eh??? GOOD FOR YOU!!! I never really had that kind of bravery myself, so kudos to you!!! Things are good on my end of the world, though I'm thinking we're gonna have an early and cold winter, which doesn't make me too happy, but what's a gal to do but grin and bear it!!! Might have to put Shane on some arthritis medicine though, keep him warm in his "old-man" coat (how cute is that?). Always glad to hear from you, sweeting!!!! And be sure to enjoy school even if it's hectic!!! Long-distance hugs!!!

HUGS BACK! remember the audition i told you about? well i made it through the callback rounds but faltered and got booted! haha well i was kinda proud to be one out of four freshies to be in the callbacks, the rest were sophomores to seniors i'm gonna focus on my theatre module and grow from there and try again for another production! wheeeee. gosh! WINTER! it means CHRISTMAS IS COMING! my friend went over to USA already and i was skyping with her ytd
i sooo wanna be in another country right now! French is killing me with the pronunciation area. La français est tres difficile!
Lots of love from me to you (and Sharon and all the canine kiddos!)

Wow! You were only one of four freshmen to make it?!?! That's great!!! I'm sorry you didn't make it all the way, but still, excellent job!!! You're amazing!!! But I already knew that!!
So, I take it you like christmas??? I HATE it!!! WAY too many years in retail service... really turned me off the season. I turn into a real Grinch!!! It's scary!
Well, I'm sorry you're not here and stuck there, but you know I love you and send positive thoughts and hugs your way!!! French, ehh, I couldn't do it either, course, that was waaaayyy back in jr. high. Anyway, I saw on youtube yesterday the clip of Eddie Izzard I was telling you about where he does a comedy piece in French, I'll see if I can find it again and send you the link - it's at least a "fun" way to practice!!!
You take care now, sweeting, have loads of fun and don't run yourself ragged!!! Lots of hugs!!!

Hey you! You all ready for school to start? It's chilly and rainy here, missing Cali... Doing lots of writing, way behind in everything else! Even the dogs need their nails trimmed, you'd think I could find that much time!!! I'm such a slacker! Hope things are great on your side of the world!!!! Hugs!!!

HI! school has already started and that's why i have neglected this place yesterday i was at my friend's place and we helped wash his jack russel and i was so happy bathing him! haha it was fun! school has been pretty slow motion with all the introductory lectures, but it's gonna pick up soon. I'm planning to audition for my school's theatre group
hope that goes fine. How's everything at your end?
π: 0 β©: 1
kittiasher In reply to LitGeek [2010-08-15 14:35:47 +0000 UTC]
Hey you!!!
I'm trying to imagine bathing a Jack Russel, they're so wiggly!!! I imagine you then had to clean up the bathroom and then change your clothes??? My Emmie looks like a Jack, but she's a Rat-Terrier mix, and she's easy to bathe!!! I did puppy feet, toenails, and ears the other day, does that count? Oh, and Shane got a Skin-So-Soft treatment, which is kinda like a bath - it's a bath sans shampoo.
Yeah, Don't worry, school will definitely pick up, and theater sound great! Never had to guts to do that kinda thing, but then, my ego...
Everything's good here. Been homesick lately though, but yesterday was hot and windy here, which was weird, but it was just like the Santa-Ana winds at home! Loved it! Too hot for dogs though, but I hung around outside as much as I could!!!
Love and hugs! Don't forget to find time to write!!!

Haha, I'm not sure. It's fun and quirky and shows a side of your personality that many might not usually see, I guess. I always strive, on my devID photos, to pick the ones that best portray me at my weirdest. sadly...I don't usually succeed. (not that I'm saying you're strange, cause I'm not. I'm just not very good at showing people who I really am, is my point.)

intro to psychology
intro to theatre & drama
French 101
geisha/yakuza/samurai as the self or other
social work hope i survive! school officially starts on tuesday! and i already have a billion assignment due dates in my inbox, fantastic. it's been raining felines and canines and i just love it this way!

kittiasher In reply to LitGeek [2010-08-05 15:44:40 +0000 UTC]
Wow! You've got a full load of classes this term! Sounds exciting!!! Intro to psych, you'll have two options: totally boring, or thoroughly interesting - depends on your textbook and teacher. Theater & drama... never took that one, but Shanon's a pro, so if you have questions, lemme know. French, can't help you there, I've barely mastered my native language!!! I never really thought of geisha as "social work" - I thought it was just a way for wealthy men to piss of their wives... learn something new every day, I guess.
I think you'll do great in school, and I have great faith in you! A billion assignments might be kinda a lot to start out on... better get busy... I used to like the rain too. there we moved... here...
Speaking of which, you do know that the weather in Boston and Washington are going to be miserable in December, right???

LitGeek In reply to kittiasher [2010-08-05 16:08:06 +0000 UTC]
my geisha and social work are separate modules! haha! my mum was a little bit sceptical about me learning social work as a university module but i thought it'd complement psychology well. anyway it's still my first sem
awww you're so sweet as usual! i hope i can survive! hahaha i like miserable weather! i don't like the sun really!

Tee-hee-hee, made you laugh!!! I took sociology 1 with the WORST instructor - got a "B" when I should have aced it! Arg! But, I still made the Dean's list, so I guess it's okay.
You'll do fine in school, don't worry. Just remember, every instructor wants something, if you figure out what that is, then just give it to them and all's well. In smaller classes, most instructors was "class participation" in text-heavy courses, they want good test scores, some want a fabulous report; it always helps to talk to students who have taken that teacher before. I don't believe in "luck" but I wish you: "Good skill!"
Me? I love the sun. I'm a desert girl.

Good skill it is! yeah i'm gonna be a real hard worker and be a nerd and be on the Dean's list too! need a scholarship badly for France!
i'll definitely take your advice into account! i would love to visit a desert! but for now, i gotta make do with singapore!

kittiasher In reply to LitGeek [2010-08-05 16:28:03 +0000 UTC]
I wish yo all the best Sweeting! I'm sure you'll do great! Most instructors say that you should study as many hours as you spend in lecture (or lab or whatever), but I always had to study harder - it takes a while for things to settle in my over-crowded brain!
Well, I have no idea what Singaproe is like, but the Arizona deserts are BEAUTIFUL. It's considered a "high" desert, which means it even snows in the winter. Yes, I'll give you that the brush is "scrubby" but the misquete trees are gnarled with black trunks and green leaves and the hills are red and the skies are blue and at night you can see the band of the milky-way. I will say, however, that there is nothing more pathetic than an arizona cow!
