One of the quickest ways I can think of to find someone to do a soft mount for you (someone you can commission to do exactly the kind of animal you want coupled with the amount of interior armatureΒ you want) would be toΒ go to Etsy and type 'soft mount taxidermy' into the search box. Everyone listed there is (as far as I know) competent and fair. Most are from DA, meaning that you can go through their GalleryΒ here on DA and see examples of their work. Are you familiar with 'The Chop Shop' group? You'll often find 'pre-made' soft mounts-both new and used- for sale there. I only gave you the link to the Chop Shop. Here is the Etsy link. www.etsy.com/search?q=soft+mou⦠; I've already typed 'soft mount taxidermy' into their search box. There are a few people who do soft mounts that have Etsy shop's listed under a different User name (not their User name here on DA). I'm not sure why they do this? But I will respect their privacy wishes and not disclose their identities in a public format such as this one (anybody can read Profile Page comments). Were you able to navigate through The Chop Shop Gallery folders? I don't know how familiar you are with how DA Groups work. If you have any questions, just note me (notes are private).

I just double clicked on the Chop Shop link and it took me right to their Profile Page. What I just did next for you is to scroll down to their 'Gallery folders' and then I double-clicked on 'Mounts-soft and traditional' the-chop-shop.deviantart.com/g⦠Let me know if this works for you!

Welcomes! It took me quite a while to figure out how to navigate around DA, and I still make mistakes. Let me know if you need any help. Also, just so you know, Sometimes people that put things up for sale in the Chop Shop are not good about letting others know when the item has been sold. I have found this very frustrating in the past! Especially when I have missed an opportunity to buy something elsewhere while waiting for the seller to get back to me.
