I'd love it if I had that skill. My stuff is awkward and sketchy. I never figured out a personal style that would reflect that theme.

I am still working out my style myself.. I am always working on improving and changing elements. So don't worry about it.. I found that it about focusing on what I like to draw.. and not the style helpped me more.. if you focus on finding a style it takes forever to come.

So I've been thinking about this comment, and I decided I need to focus more on a subject I'm interested in (like you said), and hopefully the style will evolve from that.Β
I'm choosing Silent Hill to start with. I'm also taking it slow. So far I've only completed a sketch of a lady crawling/a second improved version/and a comparison of the two where my weaknesses are made clear.Β
I'd love to try to color again (digital art) but I can't do that until I get back on a normal monitor vs a GIANT tv where my mouse lags and it would be unreasonable to use a plug-in tablet.
Anyway, thank you for your wisdom. lol

Oh doing a redraw like is a great idea... sometimes seeing your weakness are so hard.. I know I suck at seeing them quite often.
lol well you would be the only one learning digital colouring.. I love the look but I hadn't got to a level were I can really do it.. ( most of the digital art I done has taken hours and hours as I have no idea what I am doing.Β

Well I've done digital coloring before, but I tend to not put enough variance in the shades I use so the art falls a little flat in color. If I'm sticking to reds and blacks for the most part I don't think that would be an issue though. lol

I am the same really.. I only started to shade with more than black.. and I only started doing that because of my work with markers where I can't do that.Β

Yeah. Would be great. But I probably need to learn more about anatomy first.
Also, I wanted to do watercolors, but I learned none of my paper is suitable for it.

Yeah. Lately I don't really have time to do much so I'm just doing quick sketches and pushing myself to go with the first attempt without erasing (just to see what happens).
I improved eye shape in my last picture, but I made the chin too small. lol

Yeah. I've been studying a lot without sketching to figure out why my eyes look wrong. I tend to make them too squinty and separate the tear duct too from the rest of the eye much.
