Where do you get your skulls and how do you clean them?

I have an old horse skull working as furniture, hah. I have plans to turn it into a lamp.

I like the gallery a lot! Definitely one of my favorites on dA.

We get most of the skulls either from hunters or other collectors. We know some people who get animals, which died naturally or from illness, from Zoos or shelters.
When we are working with the fresh animal to get the skull we mostly cut away all the flesh we can cut and then leave it in hot water (not boiling) to remove the rest. After that it is bleached.
Some specimen are too greasy and needs to be degreased before bleaching.

Hah, it really bothers me about my gallery that apparently I only draw people with their eyes closed and slightly facing left. I should really add some variety to my gallery but in the end I draw kind of little since I seldom have the time.

Maybe closed eyes define your art! Maybe there's a reason why you draw them and it's so beautiful.
Continue experimenting crayons and pencils because what you do with them is very deep and touching!

I adopted it for the purposes of my personal fakemon game. It's an "eternity project" as I've been working on it for, oh I don't know, several years? It's maybe halfway done, I'm not sure, but the progress I'm doing is incredibly slow. I have no real reason to finish it and being busy with studying, work and my love life leaves very little leisure time that I could donate to the cause. But I keep telling myself that someday...!
