I bought the book last Thursday and read 6 chapters so far and I like it, its very unique. Had lot action, humor, and cool characters. My favorite character is Reeze who acts as Kaia's Guardian and a lone wolf.

I look forward learning about Reeze's past and what gave him a motive of following Kaia. Not to mention the bond between Reeze and Kaia that I have no doubt it will grow into something big. Know what I mean?

By the way the animation on your avatar, whats that from?

Oh you did? I'm glad you're enjoying it. Reeze is pretty cool. A lot of people end up liking him, which I found a bit surprising. I thought his cold personality would make people reluctant to like him, but a reader contacted me about how much she loves him, so I guess I did something right. I personally enjoy writing Derek and Catrina's little scenes. They always end up making me laugh.

Well...Kaia and Reeze's bond will grow, of course, but...I'm not sure how big it will get yet. Things definitely pick up in the second book and I hope to expand on it in Book 3 whenever I get around to writing it.

The animation is taken from Beauty and the Beast. It's the scene at the end where Belle kisses Prince Adam and the entire castle and people turn back to how they were. It looks rough because it's just the lineart and such before any color has been added to it.

I think you did great on Reeze's character along with the other characters. Kaia, she reminds me little of Hinata from Naruto and Orihime from Bleach. The scenes with Catrina and Derek was really funny when he asked for a kiss then slapped him in the face. Now that Derek knows about Catrina's father as one of the Demigods that attacked Derek's people, I hope things will be settled between those two.

I hope relationship between them will be explored more. They seem to make a good couple, in my opinion.

I thought that looked familiar, but I wasn't sure since the girl looked like she had markings on her cheek.

By the way, I don't mean to pry but I noticed the photos in your gallery, the photos of the woods are from John Bryan, right? I know because my dad and I go went down there whenever the weather gets nice out on Sundays and walk through the woods. Do you go walk in John Bryan park often?

I watched a trailer that Disney is showing an anime movie called Secret World of Arrietty. I don't know if you have heard of it or if you were interested in it. I just thought I let you know about the movie, if you were interested in it.

I thought those four main characters, reminded me of some of the characters I watched in other anime. I believe thats why I got so addicted in reading your book.

I never seen the line-art animation before, I thought for a minute that gif was fan-made. Because of this fan-made Lady Ice short movie thats almost like Disney animation, click here if you love to see it.

The main four characters are all based off of common archetypes in anime/manga. Kaia = magical girl, Reeze = lone wolf, Catrina = best friend/know-it-all, and Derek = player/person-that-annoys-everyone-around-them.

Oh the markings on Belle's cheeks is supposed to indicate to colorists that her blush goes there. Mrs. Potts and Chip have little markings on their cheeks, too, if you ever see the line art animation.

I think most of the photos are from John Bryan. But no, I don't go down there often.

The line art animation is pretty amazing to see, in my opinion. I don't know, I've always liked to see the process of animation anyway. And that Lady Ice short is pretty impressive.

Pets always do the most cutest things.

Isn't it? Infact, there has been most animators that really do a impressive job thats almost look like the anime. Maybe you might be able to do fan-animation someday. But if you don't want to, you don't have to, just thought it might be interesting for you to do.

BTW have you watched a CGI fan-made movie called Dead Fantasy? Its a crossover movie between DOA characters vs Final Fantasy characters having a brawl.

Its mainly the heroines that you will love watching.
