It might be pushing the point but the moral of the Thurber fable I quoted; "Who flies afar from the sphere of our sorrow is here today and here tomorrow." could be applied to the Covid-19 situation that is affecting so many of us

We might be hiding from nature currently but its beautiful face is beginning
to show itself after the gloom of winter, at least in the northern hemisphere

I don't know about where you live Wolfkingdom but the UK is currently having heavy rain
and widespread flooding Hopefully it will pass soon and water levels drop.
Eeyore would have been in his pessimistic element - "Don't blame me if it rains" he said.

We live on a hill, so we are safe but many others are unfortunately suffering flood damage

I hope they'll be alright! I know how it feels to constantly have rainy and wet weather everywhere.

It's the low lying flat lands that are most vulnerable when the rivers burst their banks after prolonged heavy rain. It's the horrible inconvenience and disruption to lives rather than risk of physical harm in this sort of flooding. We rarely have the flash floods down steep valleys that are more life threatening. One of the worst incidences of flash flooding was in 1952 when 34 people were killed in the Lynton & Lynmouth disaster

We hope so but it does take a few dry days for the waters to recede and then the houses may take months to really dry out
