My username, tagline, and avatar all correspond to my (real life) initials "M. S." Turned counterclockwise, the 'M" looks like the Greek Sigma, coincidentally corresponding to "S" in our Semetic/Latin alphabet (in math, used as summation) and the actual "S" looks like a lemniscate (infinity symbol). Thus, Sum of Infinity.
Fun facts: the websites Ethical Ocean (responsibly sourced fashion) and Terracycle (upcycling otherwise un-recyclable things, sourced from average participants like you!) both have icons that resemble the second "S" symbol.
As for my ID pic . . . once upon a time I was working towards becoming a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Now, though, I am shifting focus to a bachelor's in environmental science after I get a two or three year nursing degree. I've kept the design because I like it. My "robe" is actually a lab coat and if you look at the staff, the shapes look like the letters "DVM"- a play off of the veterinary symbol (you know, the Caduceus with a snake twined around a staff). I've now met a handful of herbalists and want to explore this more "traditional" medicine as well, outside of formal schooling. Vegetable gardening is your own personal preventative healthcare.

But, I do like both of them. Hm. Maybe I'll let my Watchers vote on which one they like better.
Purple Palazzo Pants for the win!!! They have all the flowy-ness of a skirt without worrying about crossing legs or showing something you don't want to. Haha. And yes, I do have some like this IRL. They're a bit warmer purple, though.
