Do the world a favour and jump of a skyscraper. I'm honestly surprised you didn't listen when my girlfriend told you to do the same thing a few months ago.

You had enough time to prove me that your god exists. You did not. You cannot tell me anything new; only pseudo-scientific, pseudo-philosophic unproven words.

So everything needs to be proven?
Well then prove to me, that thou exist.
A simple enough task right? WRONG. I can claim solipsism as my philosophical stand and there is no logical way to prove that I am wrong.
The axiom of "the other" is quite significant, and so is the axiom of objective external reality.
Have thou ever heard of munchausen trilemma.
It is the epistemological sentence that states that the proof to every statement is either circular, lead to infinite regress or have to start at a base assumption. There is no possibility for certainty.
Sometimes we just reach something so basic, that we simply have to assume that it is true.
We call them axioms and God is one sort axiom.
The key thing here is to simply understand what the concept even means.

You want me to prove that I exist? Wery well, you do not doubt that someone writes replies to your comments? It is just me who does it. You do not know, am I really young or old, am I a man or a woman, a single person or a whole group discussing every word, but in any way there is someone who writes replies, and this person (or group of persons) is called MihTimak.
If a sharp pebble in your boot hurts your foot, you, of course, can pretend that everything is OK and walk further, leaving bloody footprints, but I think that you will prefer to take off your boot, find this pebble and throw it away. Thus this pebble proved its existence to you.

But then what makes you to reply to my comments? And if it were a dream, you would be the only person that sees our conversation, but in reality anyone who visits my profile can see them, so they exist in reality.

thou art trying to prove 'the other' by referring to a third now?
And I only picked that question in order to illustrate a point, it was rhetorical, it is impossible to prove ones existence to a solipsist

When someone with a big fist hits a solipsist, the latter will cry: "Oh, how terrible is my dream!"

rphb In reply to MihTimak [2017-05-10 21:30:01 +0000 UTC]
a solipsist understand pain, but only as "my pain".
For a solipsist that just deny "the other" but not "external reality" so he understand the fist, but what hit him were not a person, but an automaton, an empty thing with no feeling or emotions.

MihTimak In reply to rphb [2017-05-10 21:40:32 +0000 UTC]
But what caused his pain? I do not think that he wanted to feel pain. So, the solipsist has to acknowledge that there is some outer world not powered by him.

rphb In reply to MihTimak [2017-05-10 22:02:53 +0000 UTC]
I said that we are dealing with two different axioms here.
the axiom of the objectivity of the external world, and the axiom of the other.
This solipsist is alone in a world filled with robots that only look like humans

MihTimak In reply to rphb [2017-05-10 22:16:58 +0000 UTC]
If a solipsist acknowledges the objective existence of the outer world, what is the difference for him, who are alive beings that populate it? In any case he must build the relations with them.

rphb In reply to MihTimak [2017-05-10 22:29:27 +0000 UTC]
not if they don't exist, then he can't build relationship with them, then at best he can experiment on them, to see how they work.
Maybe take a few apart to see what is inside.

rphb In reply to MihTimak [2017-05-10 23:03:50 +0000 UTC]
but thou understand how that is not a relationship right, "the other" is an unprovable axiom that we need in order to have relationships.

Of course, unfortunately, there are wicked people who think themselves the kings (or queens) of the world, who think that they may do everything regardless of others' interests. So the society has do defend itself against such people, up to imprisoning and even killing them.

rphb In reply to MihTimak [2017-05-11 09:57:20 +0000 UTC]
there is a difference between not caring about the other and not recognising their existence.
In Islam for instance, women are not considered moral agents, they need a male guardian throughout their entire life to make all of the decisions for them.

Yes, and I think that it is very bad. That is why I condemn the religions - because they neglect basic human rights.

"that" religion, because it neglect all basic human rights.
But the very concept of human rights is derived from Christendom, in the form of "Natural Rights"
that is Rights that are Objective, and Absolute.
We cannot even talk about a right, in any other term.
Because it is not a privileged, it is not something granted to us by the state, it is not something agreed upon by treaty, it inalienable, and it is God given.

MihTimak In reply to rphb [2017-05-17 12:23:09 +0000 UTC]
No, the human rights are not given from the god that is imaginary. The respect to human rights is also the product of evolution of the human society.
