It was really good! It felt kinda of like a poem and I really like formats like that as well.
But I think for the flashback part try not to put flashback, just try to transition in a way, maybe even italicizing to show the difference.
And for your authors note I think it would be better to put it in your description instead of at the bottom of the story.
Overall, it was really good though! It was simple and poetic in my opinionΒ Β Keep writing and improving! You can do it! Β
