Hey Raiko!
Could you check out my new fantasy story?
The Nakizen Vine Ch1

Chapter one
In the year 2025 a world war broke out over ever decreasing resources. America used a tectonic plate disrupter in the hopes of destroying their enemies. Unfortunately the weapon set forth a world reforming event. Destructive earth quakes broke out in every land mass, forcing vessels of all sizes to retreat to the ocean while they watched the homes and cities they loved break apart and sink into the sea.
It took two hundred years before the last earth quake shook the remaining land on earth, and by then people had become used to living off what they could in the ocean. Cherishing every resource they could find. When they returned the land that still speckled the world it barley resembled the continents their grandparents had told them about. The landscape of what was left of

A alternate history fantasy story following a girl named Zoko who has the ability to control air and fire. It follows as she goes from living in the woods alone for years, to meeting a mysterious man named Syle.

Hi!

Is there a specific reason why you ask me? Like, do you want feedback, criticism, or just show me your work because we are both writers?

I took a brief look at your story, but since my time is currently very limited, I am only likely to stay with anything I read if it really captures my interest and is very well written. I think for a hobby writer, you are doing just fine. You certainly have your fans and admirers, which is awesome (and reminds me of my own first pieces of fiction), and you can never write too much to practice your abilities.

I would not call myself a professional writer yet, but certainly someone who takes writing as a passion AND as a business very seriously and does a lot of research to understand and implement the tools of the trade. In short, I am barely in a position to claim any authority in writing, but after reading the beginning of your story, I would still like to suggest checking out the Writer's Digest website or some books on writing (Fiction Writing Demystified, Getting Your Manuscript Sold, etc.) when you have the chance. Writing is a bit of handiwork, which means that some parts of it can be learned and improved to keep your readers interested throughout the book and captured by your story from the first sentence to the last page. There are definite "do's and don't's" that are really worth taking interest in.

Good luck with your writing

Für gute Fotos - immer gerne.

Ich liebe die Kattas/Lemuren aus dem Magdeburger Zoo, aber sie sind grundsätzlich nicht draußen, wenn ich vorbei komme. Sie haben sich gegen mich verschworen.
