# About me
I'm a college freshmen and I'm looking forward to seeing some amazing art to calm me down in my first year of "real life".
I have an old account that I don't use much anymore here: . But your welcome to look at my deviations on there. I warn you, they're years old and not-so-great. If you have any questions, just ask. I'm pretty much an open book.

Thank you for favouring my Designn Magazine Cover Art Competition Entry. I hope it wan't cheating to submit some already prepared stock not previously seen on dA. I have been experimenting lately with the 'paper cutout' artistic filter in Photoshop. It' tricky to make it return clear, useful results but if it can be done the image has that clear, hard edged look that makes it easy to print, along with flat colors and, in this case, the kind of limited palette that lends itself to lithographic printing or other such techniques.
If you want to see more of what this filter can do, here is a collection of images I have used it on aegiandyad.deviantart.com/gall… .

Wow. Your style is amazing, actually. To be honest, I usually don't like art like this. I like more traditional, photo-realist things. But you are an exceptionally talented artist. You've got a watcher in me.

I thought I was a photo realist too. I just wanted to abstract the picture from the scene. Then Mrs a* started to develop her talent for becoming part of the scene, then we started to look for locations or 'sets'. Meanwhile I was developing a style of close-up abstraction much like the kind AiniTolonen is so good at. It wasn't long before I discovered simple Photoshop shop effects that transformed the work, then some of the more subtle and recondite effects and lately the so called 'artistic' filters of which there are several.
Tom Keating, the picture restorer and art forger, used the cockney rhyming slang 'sexton blake' to describe his imitations of various 'old Masters'. I invariably use this expression to describe anythng I've done which is claimed to resemble a painting, especially if the uninitiated could conceivably be persuaded that the work resembled or was intended as some kind of tribute to that of a known artist. This is the search result for 'sexton blake' in our gallery aegiandyad.deviantart.com/gall… . The only really advanced fakery is this
which is a fake painting in old Master style of a copy of a well known Dutch Old Master, probably hanging not half a mile away in the National Gallery, realised as a three dimensional shop window display by Her Majesty's grocers in London's Picadilly.

Wow. That is amazing. I wish I could respond with as much art knowledge as this deserves but I'm a psychology major. Art is one of the most important things in the world but I'm afraid I'm not educated in it as much as I wish I were.
Thank you so much for taking your time to help me understand your style and other forms of art. It really means a lot to me.
