Ooh, I can see why he's popular. He's definitely cute. But I can see why you'd regard it as a curse. Teachers having the hots for students is definitely inappropriate. I get some Dark Side of Dimensions vibes from his hair, which I'm going to guess is not accidental. I'd be interested in a little more context about him. What kind of a Duelist is he? How does he interact with other Duelists? Since he's a 5D's OC, does he have a D-Wheeler? If so, have you designed a riding outfit for him?

For sure.  Thanks.^_^  Yeah, but she doesn't like act on it too much.  The worst that she's done is flirt with him, but even so, Sasuke just finds her uncomfortable and she ends up getting fired at some point, so it comes and goes.  No, it isn't, and I'm glad for it because his original hairdo was recolored Yugi hair and yeah, I just didn't like that look for him anymore.  I'm not sure what deck theme to give him, but chances are he may end up with a Love themed deck since I've yet to give a 5D's OC that particular deck theme.  However, his strategy will differ strongly from my YGO GX OC Melissa Yuki's strategy due to them being from different time periods and he gets a Synchro monster as well.

His interactions with Duelists vary, but unless you're on his turn-off list (he can forgive overconfidence, but not arrogance), chances that he'll befriend you are strong.  Sasuke's like his father in that regard, but one of the main 5D's characters that he can't stand for sure is Jack Atlas.  He can't forgive betrayal, no matter if you atone for it or not.  The other character that he hates is Rex Goodwin and only because he thinks that he's racist as well as classist.  Yes, he does Turbo Duel, so he owns a Duel Runner/D-Wheel.  No, I'm still figuring out his wardrobe and he does not go to New Domino Duel Academy either.

This was a delightful comment to receive. It's nice to know there's still an audience for what I'm doing. (I'd probably keep doing it regardless if there was an audience but still, I appreciate it. ) I'm going to presume auto-correct caught you there and ask if you meant you'd like to see more Emiko and/or Issa? I sometimes feel like I neglect Issa a bit myself, so it wouldn't surprise me. And I don't wanna get ahead of myself, but I did start some writing just yesterday for the reboot, so there's that.

Like I said, I'm really interested in seeing Apep and seeing his interpretation in the story and to see some art of him. According to what I've read, he was a giant demonic snake that always tried to swallow the sun and was considered Ra's arch enemy. Ra and Set (before the latter went bad) used to battle him as Ra pulled the sun on his barge to keep Apep from eating it and unleashing chaos. Whenever a solar eclipse happened, it was believed that Apep had finally gotten the sun and chaos and panic would occur until the moon moved out of the way. He was also the only deity who wasn't worshipped (even Set, who eventually took his place as the god of evil, had worshippers), but rather was worshipped AGAINST. One of the most interesting things I find about him was that, being the complete physical embodiment of chaos and destruction, he fits into the trope of a "complete monster", which I find to be the most fascinating of villains.

Also, what would he look like? Would he still have his god form of the giant snake? Or would he adapt a more human-like visage in this day and age? Maybe a hybrid! That would be creepy 😨.

Sorry to go on so long, but one more thing 😅. You said you're making a reboot? I hope it's as good as this one (though, one thing, try not to make the first chapter with Yugi and Tea so confusing if you can; I still don't really know what's going on or why Yugi left for three years 😕.)

Ah that makes sense. (Wonder why it couldn't understand "Rebecca," jeeeeeez autocorrect.) I can tell you that Mokuba looks a lot like a more laid back Seto with the Mokuba Dark Side of Dimensions haircut . I can also safely say that that's one of few things that will be borrowed from Dark Side of Dimensions, which I liked a lot but took Kaiba in particular in a direction counter to the one I would have. 

Apep will probably be renamed Apophis in the reboot, mostly because that spelling of his name has already kinda-sorta been established as the canon spelling via the Embodiment of Apophis card . In light of that, his design will incorporate elements of that card. He's still a honking great snake. Likely a cobra, to differentiate him from the Divine Serpent Geh that Dartz sics on Yami Yugi in the Orichalcos arc. 

I have no problem with long comments at all. In fact, I really appreciate you reaching out to me! I could talk all day about anything Yu-Gi-Oh-related, and talking about my fic really keeps the mental gears turning. Yes, I have a reboot slated, and I hope it's at least as good as the original as well, haha! It's meant to include more arcs, new characters, plot alterations, etc. Ironically, as I've come to believe that the pairing off of the parents would be better suited to side stories than the main one, that chapter you're referring to is one that's slated to be cut completely. (It was mostly a long reference to a line from the GX dub where Grandpa says Yugi "went to the market to get some olives three years ago," even though GX isn't really in Heirs continuity.) 

Thanks for the recommendation! Funnily enough, I was actually reading the "Yu-Gi-Oh Forever" TV tropes page the other day and was considering checking it out. I'll definitely have to give it a look now

Thanks for your enthusiasm. I actually have been coming back to the story off and on. My intent is to reboot it. It's been mostly school, personal issues, and trouble with plot points that have prevented anything from coming of it. But I am still trying, rest assured of that.
