YES!! A good 70% of the comics are based on true calls. And, when you're not obigated to help these doornobs, it *is* funny... but, when you're stuck on the phone with them, and you *have* to help them, you get a little "fight or flight" response going...

Love it! Bookmarked it for my husband. He works at Kinkio's so he's always coming home to tell me stories of stupidity. Yesterday he said a woman was angry she'd forgotten her AOL password and couldn't log on to the internet on their computer. He politely told her she didn't need a password since they had Internet Explorer. The woman REFUSED to believe it was possible to long onto the internet without her AOL password. "No! You HAVE to have a password to log on to the internet!" I looked at him and simply uttered "Somebody still uses AOL.....?" *blank stare*

Ooohh... ouch. Gotta love how indignant those AOL users are, huh? I also love those lil old people who think their computer's are magic boxes that run on dreams and pixie dust.

Yep. My mother. She's not very old, but she is little and very ANGRY. She told me I had bogged the desktop down with too much junk and it was getting too sluggish. Soooo.....she went through and deleted files to clear up space. Well, once I came home from school and needed to use the computer, I flipped the switch....and a DOS message came up. Yeah....She deleted WINDOWS! After a very heated phone call to her, she admitted she found a huge file on the computer, and she happily drug it to the Recycling Bin. This was on 95, so it was before Windows would not allow you to delete system files. It took a week to find the system back up disks. I then banned her from the computer until she took an oath to never touch the Recycling Bin.
