Okay, but I see a few flaws with this.
1) No one can request or volunteer to become the Chronicler, you can only become the Chronicler if the one before you chooses you out of all the dragons who have died and they can only do this at the end of an era. So the only way Spyro can become the Chronicler is if Ignitus chooses him too.
2) The Chronicler is not allowed to leave the White Isle for any reason, their job is to chronicle as much of the events that happen in that era as they can, this is more important then any personal attachments they might have with the living so Spyro would not be allowed to go help he's family fight.
3) Unless it's important the Chronicler isn't allowed to commune with the living so unless Spyro needs to tell Blaze something important he won't be allowed to talk to him.
4) If there are so many villains that they become a threat to the world then it's not really and age of peace which means the prophecy isn't really fulfilled.
This is why I don't see making Spyro the chronicler was a good idea.

Actually, I’m contradicting myself again seriously, Spyro doesn’t visit his family, period, if your happy with that, great, but he still reveals his origins to Blaze for being his father

I still don't agree with Spyro becoming the Chronicler because it means he no longer can be the hero.

He is going to start communing with him in the Darkest Night, telling him to seek him out, for he needs to show something important to Blaze, next, he’s gonna commune with Blaze during the Twisted Fate, and in Sweet Dreams, a one shot, Spyro’s gonna commune with Cynder, causing her to seek him out in the Celestial caves, and this is when Blaze is a grown-up (as well as his love interest, Eva, the daughter of Flame and Ember), finally, the ending will basically be that Blaze and Eva return to Avalar to live in their true home, while Cynder becomes the first Co-Chronicler with Spyro, and I know that last part is probably gonna trigger you, since “there can only be one Chronicler at a time”, but whatever, I’m trying to paint a picture where both couples are happy, and that’s Skylanders ends, I gave more to chew on now, so can that satisfy you?

Okay, but what reason does Spyro have to commune with Cynder?
As for the Co-Chronicler thing, you are right because there can only be one Chronicler at a time otherwise it can cause problems like having two purple dragons born in the same era ( in my fanon Spyro is one of the most powerful and skilled heroes in he's world because purple dragons have no limitations to how strong they can become ), however nothing said the Chronicler can't have an assistant, the Chronicler before Ignitus might have had one because the the female voice that spoke to Spyro and Sparx during Spyro's tests.

Well, the communing with Cynder is partly due to recurring nightmares that she’s been having in the story, and he’s calming her down and whatnot

Well, 1. Ignitus was originally planning on choosing Spyro anyways, as he says this to the purple dragon during his time in the afterlife.
2. I’m purposefully Contradicting my previous statement, Spyro can visit his family, but not interfere with destiny, or just not help fight, either that, or Spyro is the first to break the oath of non-interference.
3. Spyro’s visits are usually rare occasions, briefly checking up on his family, and returning for long periods of time to the Celestial Caves to continue writing for the next age.
4. The villains aren’t like ultimate evils, they’re simply old, insignificant villains with a bone to pick with Spyro’s family, kinda like Kaos (except he’s dead), not threats like Malefor or Moonwalker, they’d usually consist of run-of-the-mill type of villains.

Actually, one of the game's devs said in an interview that Spyro and Cynder aren't together and they never really had plans on making them a couple. Also Spyro's "because you’ve left me nothing to fight for" doesn't mean he has romantic feelings for Cynder, keep in mind that in the span of twenty four hours Spyro had to be separated from he's brother Sparx, saw Ignitus he's mentor die and then Cynder he's only friend is being used against him of course he is going to feel like he has nothing to fight for.
I can see your Spyro and Cynder as a couple because they know more people their age then the ones in the Legend series did ( they only really knew each other ).
Also just read the new chapter to Skylanders-Feuds and not only am I glad that Dark Spyro is back but Ember as well, I hope Ember has the undead element since she was brought back to life.

During the story's development, Spyro and Cynder weren't originally intended to fall in love with each other. This is supported by their lack of interest in each other up until the final battle in Dawn of the Dragon. However seeing the fans wanting Spyro and Cynder to be together prompted Krome Studios and The Legend of Spyro producers to consider making the pairing canon. Jared Pullen stated that "...it's more that them getting together wasn't a thing we'd intended originally - it's pretty much something that emerged from fan conversations... like I've marveled at with appreciation now for years: Cynder and Spyro have a life all their own. They've grown up, flown the coop, and have nested comfortably. Seeing the fans delight in wanting Spyro and Cynder to get together prompted me and the team to consider it.... it only seems natural to me. I think it's now common-place belief (if not unwritten lore) that they are an item. It's the way I would have eventually gone with it.
