To briefly sum it up, he's a very stubborn sweetheart. He's like that one super energetic person that has a million projects plus a social life that you kinda look at like "what kind of black magic is this?"  He's pretty happy except where he has to debate the occasional street protestor. Think of if Zuko's and Aang's personalities were crossed.  "HONOOOOR! But WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE I CAN FLYYYYYYYY!!!"

I think that just comes naturally with practice.  I'm as slow as a slug when it comes to writing 2,000 words (as in it takes me a good several weeks to make something I'm okay with), yet there are people I follow on fanfiction that post 3,500-word chapters every few days.  I'll probably get there some day, and you will too.

That's true, but it's all worth it later on. I almost gave up once because it seemed like I was barely improving, but eventually small steps made a big difference

I think the longest it's ever taken me to recover from one of those was a few months.  That time period wasn't fun.

For me I think the best thing is to work through those periods, because when I take breaks I have no motivation to get back to whatever I was doing.  Newton's first law and all that jazz.

I've tried that, but it almost never works for me. After a break it can be hard to get motivated, but usually I'd watch a bunch of drawing videos on YouTube and they'd motivate me to draw. Music helps too, I seem to do tons better when I'm listening to music

It used to make me feel like a total failure, but now I love looking at other peoples artwork. There's a lot to learn from them.
