# About me

Hello! My name is Chara J. and I am twenty-one years old. I’ve been doing art since I could pick up a pencil. But I didn’t start concentrating on art until sophomore year in high school. Art is such a general term, and I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. I love all mediums, most genres, and I love to be challenged. The harder the project the better. I relish the chance to push my artistic abilities.

Pastels. The messy beasts that are a nightmare to contain, but a beauty to behold when warped to your will. I don’t know why I enjoy them so much. Maybe it’s because they can be an organized chaos when given time and patience. Maybe it’s the process in which I go through to get the picture. Running through fields and streams, making sure my batteries in my camera are charged and ready so that maybe, by God’s grace, I can come across a beautiful sunset or even on occasion a sunrise to take a picture of it, so later on, I can replicate them in pastels. They are a wonderful gift that has been granted to me.
