Wow, so cool~ My family and I just visited Vietnam last summer (2010)

We rarely visit, since we live in US and the tickets are so expensive >.<
I have not been to Hanoi, so obviously haven't seen the scenery nor the festivities there

Do you go to cosplay fes in the US? There're annual expo, right?

If you go to Vietnam in the summer, you'll probably see a cosplay festival, since they're usually held in the summer, both in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi .

Sadly, I have not gone to any fes, cons, or expos in US. and yes, they're annual expo I've "researched"

That's so cool, we've (my Brothers and I) always wanted to go to cosplay festivals, especially in Vietnam, since I didn't know they had held it there! Maybe I'll look them up on YouTube?

Youtube is a good choice. Cosplay groups in Vietnam usually recorded their performances on Youtube . Try Acc Active Expo, it's held every year so I'm sure you can find a lot of clips XD.
