Oh, did I not send over a link with it? Bugger! Oh, now I got to find it again.
I think she is a random model type but I thought it was cute when I went "Oh I didn't know Mishka did...waaaaait a minute! That's not Mishka!"

So when are you going to do some oil-slick nudes?

Aparantly they are not popular anymore. They've disappeared from deviantART.

would you like to borrow my M6? I am left handed and the ergonomics just dont work for me, although it is lovely with tri-x 400, specially printed on fibre.

If you are offering I'll take it off your hand, but it would probably be better to sell it as you would get quite a lot for it especially seeing that the market just opened up with the Digital Leica M7. Now that is a nice piece of machinery.
Or you could buy a grip and mount, and see whether that works for your left handed tendancies.
Tri-x. Is that not for street photography? Can you also use that for Nudes? I thought it would be too grainy for that and with so much latitude would give you underexposed imagery for the use of beauty dishes and softboxes. Plus, it is only rated as a 200 and you would probably need a 400. However your models are not really doing much action so I guess it could work.
I prefer Tmax 3200 film actually and Fuji Reala 100 asa. But then again we are all individuals.
What fibre do you use? Just stating that you print on fibre doesn't really give much for a person to go on.

The bulk of my work is reportage and archival, shot on a c330s or an old fm, the nudes are just a bit of fun in the sun, because i get lots of free studio time. As a rule the oriental or forma papers, depending on what it is for, and more importantly what I can get, interstingly a lot of stock gets discounted and then discontinued so its a matter of what I can afford to bulk buy, which currently is the Oriental gloss.
The whole issue with the range finder has to do with ergonomics and use-ability, my fingers are just too big, and more importantly i just dont get on with it
The tri-x pushes really well, and i espesially like the look it gives on a rodinol double time 1-50 dev .

The lovely thing about film these days. It is annoying re: the papers because after you buy in bulk you have to wait around for the chemical ratios, get the right balance etc etc and each batch is different depending on the batch number. I've found that when importing American paper it has a whole different feel and response to others.
I am taking it that seeing that you are buying in your own paper you have got your own darkroom set up and not taking it into a lab. I would have thought that you would do Giclee fibre printing for the black and whites as it is indeed easier than buying in bulk discontinued. However my own problem is finding labs that actually know how to handle film so I guess if you have the means and money to play around with the chemicals and papers you most well do it yourself.
Tri-x has been tried and tested many times hence it is prefered for reportage. You have got the likes of many photojournalistic photographers in the 70s that had preference to that.
It is a pity that you can't use your leica. But then again it is somewhat a badge of honour to be able to use it as they are indeed finicky as anything, you can't tell whether your subject is in focus and there is no light metering so you really need to know what you are doing.

You probably should have thought of that before coming onto deviantART. It took you long enough to take them down. This is not photobucket. Share your own artwork but don't take credit for others.
You might want to take down the ferret photo as well, or do I have to prove who took that one as well?
And the asian girl. I can easilly send over the links if you wish.

Ah yes, I would like to say that my ecclectic taste in music has some required listening. At least I am not raping the eardrums of those nearest to me with that god awful doof doof crap that seems to be the norm these days that every young thing and their poofy looking little dogs in bags are listening to. And if you get me near "rap" I will hit you. I was a child of the 80s. I remember what rap used to be like.

VeraAda In reply to PoisonedPure [2009-03-03 07:18:32 +0000 UTC]
Hahaha, I definitely agree. Too much doof doof and "rap" around these days... not to mention all this computer-generated, blatantly sex-driven so-called "pop" music.
I was born in '89... but I most certainly remember what REAL pop & rap music was like.

Seriously. I really did think I was the only one around the place that actually had any sensibility of taste.
