# About me
Jilly-come-lately to deviantArt; I've been on here for years, but haven't looked about much till now. As my signature indicates, I'm an inveterate student, a compulsive writer and a consummate smartass. I've just finished 2 fantasy novels (in a series) while on a break from medical school. I'm in a joint degree program with 2 years to go; it would be nice to have a book published before I graduate, since I've recently realized that writing is what I love and what I'm most invested in excelling at.
I've been an art-lover and museum fanatic since I was three, and I love seeing the discussions that take place here. Hopefully I'll be able to contribute something to the dialogue as I learn more about the conventions of digital art.

Hello,
I found this beautiful picture and I was wondering if I could use it for my avatar on an RPG forum. Can I?
Thank you in advance for your answer.

Both the portraits are quite beautiful, and I'm glad you like them...but since I commissioned them as portraits of characters in my novel, I'd prefer they not be used for any other characters--and in fact, they *can't* be used without the permission of the respective artists.
