So since this RP is focusing on the thunder dragon, this is going to take place in the rainforest. What do you think your character should be doing there?

hmm well it really depends on which character I use... perhaps I could create a Rito character or something? Like maybe someone who is taking notes on the wilderness and wildlife wherever they go?

That is definitely a possibility. The rainforest area in BotW has ruins and remnants from a mysterious race of people who vanished. It could have to do with that

The only things that might be worth noting is that they primarily use archery in combat, and I think that females might also tend to have lighter feather colours than males, but I’m not sure.
You can check if you’d like but make sure to be checking the BotW section. They appear in “The Wind Waker” too but they’re VERY different in that game

(I’ll start. The race who built the ruins had a name but it’s difficult to find even on wikis, so I’ll save us some time since I can remember it now)
Word had spread throughout Hyrule’s archeological community that some sort of Zonai structures had been discovered deep in the Faron province. The Royal Family had entrusted a select few individuals to investigate and study these structures.

Elizabeth was one of these few entrusted Individuals. She had been a guard, a mercenary, and a couple more things before. So she was entrusted to scout out one of these Zonai structures.
Lightly, she pushed her blonde hair out of her face as her greenish eyes scanned the forest for the structure. Struggling to really find anything but animals. She wore leather armor and had a short sword in one hand to chop down Vines and branches

Elizabeth had been informed that the ruins were said to have been found in the Lake Floria area, although she wasn’t sure where specifically. She didn’t have a Sheikah Slate to navigate with either, so she had to use regular parchment maps to even get this far.
The sun was currently setting, which she had heard was the time the Spirit of Courage would appear. Someone else was coming up ahead; they appeared to be an everyday traveller.

Elizabeth silently watched the traveller for a moment before looking own at a parchment map in her free hand, trying to read it into where she needs to go... with a small idea in her head, she raised her noggin to look at the traveler before attempting to wave them over "excuse me, do you know your way of the land?"

The traveller smiled and stopped to talk. “I know this place like the back of my hand, yes I do,” He replied. “But I’m not gonna give away info like that for free. Do you, by any chance, have any bananas on you? If not, rupees will do just fine.”

"bananas?... that's a odd request but... there's one right above me" she replied to the traveler as she looked up at the nearest trees, there was a couple bananas but one would have to climb up to get them "... can you wait here, while I get your uh... pay?" she asked as she tries to study how to climb the tree correctly

“Yes, yes, of course,” The traveller agreed. “Just please hurry. I don’t have much patien— I-I mean, time for this. Yes, no time at all. I’m on a tight schedule, you see.”
Something wasn’t quite right about this man. He was beginning to give off some untrustworthy vibes.

Elizabeth took a quick look back at the traveler before looking back at the tree in front of her, she certainly didn't trust this guy... but knew he might know of the ruins she's looking for. With one hand, she grabs onto the bark of the tree, with the other. She slices her short sword into it, using it as a sort of hook as she easily manages to get herself up halfway the tree, and not getting much difficulty as she uses the branches to help her climb along with the short sword, it may be getting dull but is still useful.

“I must say, that’s quite the skills you have, fellow traveller,” He called up to Elizabeth. “Might I ask where you learned to do such things?”
From where Elizabeth was, there were a few bunches of bananas within arm’s reach. It was such an odd request but for some reason, it sounded like it should be familiar.

"Thanks, and uh... well, I never think about it. If anything, I guess... I learned it at a young age... my dad was some tomb raider so, he probably taught me" Elizabeth replied as she reached out as best as she could with one hand, carefully she grabs as many bananas as her hand can hold before looking down at him "Think you can catch these if I drop them?"

“Yes of course,” The traveller said while holding out his arms. “Just toss them right down to me.”
It was getting dark. Elizabeth had heard that it was around dusk that the great dragon Farosh would appear from the springs,

Elizabeth was getting, no. WAS worried that the great dragon Farosh would not like... trespassers so she quickly tossed the banannas down to the traveller before quickly climbing down as best as she could, no longer looking at him to pay attention to her arms and legs "O-okay, now then... will you help me look for something in this part of the forest?"

Greedily the traveller tried to grab and hold all of the bananas at once. “Of course, of course! Ooh my, you got a lot of them! Aww yeah this is the good stuff!” Suddenly Elizabeth heard the sound of metal hitting the stone path underneath them. In the dirt laid a black sickle which had fallen from the traveller’s backpack— the main weapon used by the foot soldiers of the Yiga Clan, Hyrule’s most notorious marauders and bandits who... had an odd obsession with... bananas...
“Oops. How did that get there?” He said unconvincingly.

After swiftly putting the pieces together, Elizabeth pulled her machete up. The tip of the blade having swiftly went under the traveler's chin, almost touching his neck "Don't move, and you're head won't go flying" she threatened as she tried to keep the upper hand, his hands were full... So he shouldn't be able to fight her unless he drops those bananas (are they really addicted to bananas?)

(Not even kidding, there’s a stealth section in the game where you’re in their hideout and you can throw bananas to distract them, it’s hilarious xD)
The footsoldier grinned. “You’re a brave one, I’ll give you that. But sometimes bravery is just stupidity in disguise.” Suddenly, in a flash of red light, they vanished, bananas and all, and then reappeared in full Yiga garb and with sickle and bow in hand, ready to strike. “I suggest you run. It’s a lot more fun that way.”
