God I miss Munich... (my latest painting "Father and Son" is of one of my friends from Munich. He is a bartender at the Lotte Lieben (may have spelled that wrong). The restaurant is across the street from the Victualinmarkt close to the Shrannenhalle (again my spelling is terrible). If you are over there, his name is Stefan and his child is Louis!

I haven't been to all those places you mentioned
So what have you seen of Munich? Have you been on top of the Television Tower to overview the city? I did that once at night, it was awesome. Have you been to the art museums, the "Pinakotheken"?

I lived in Munich for almost three years (worked with Siemens). Munich feels like a second home to me and I loved it. I have been to all three of the Pinakotheken's multiple times, but loved the neue the best. Never made it to the top of the television tower, but for one of my years, I lived in a 16 story apartment building on the top floor. I had a wonderful view of Munich and saw the most spectacular sunsets every night (I should post a picture or two...)
Bakersfield is not a very nice place to visit. I've only lived here a few years since marrying my wife who was living here. If you make it back to California, you should take the drive on the pacific coast highway. when you get North of Los Angeles and head toward San Francisco, it is one of the prettiest drives in the world. A natural wonder.
