I did not realize that I had done that! That's what I like about him: he doesn't pander to toxic masculinity. He just seems so lovely and down-to-earth.

I find the likes of Chris Hemsworth and Hugh Jackman incredibly attractive for those reasons!

I suppose that I mean that rigid concept that "boys don't cry", men are stoic and "tough it out", that boys should "man up" and not "cry like a girl" and all this other bile that robs men and boys (and women and girls) of so much quality of life.

O_O I had no idea about this "lunatic fringe"...! That mentality scares me. Thank goodness for the likes of Chris, Benedict, and Hugh, who just seem so warm and personable in addition to talented. It's part of why I like them so much.

After all, they have what they Ancient Greeks called "kharis", from which we get the word "charisma". It can simply mean "grace" or "charm" but it also has erotic connotations; this is supposedly the quality that Helen of Troy had in overabundance and what made her so desirable and for which she was invoked by Spartan girls at their coming-of-age rituals.

You really summarize why Australian men are so alluring.
