I was thinking of getting TF2. I know you've recommended it to study the characters/art style before (which I love), but how is it as a game? Have you played it?

It's very addictive. There are multiple game modes like capturing the flag, defending a base, arena etc. But what makes TF2 stand out from all the other games (COUGHCALLOFDUTYCOUGH)is that the majority of the game was made by the community. So you'll have weird battlegrounds that look like Mario Kart, Wario Ware, Zombies and stuff.

It's not just the maps, it's the game modes too.
The game is a hilarious piece of work and I highly recommend it. And the community on TF2chan is polite and offers art help for people new to drawing it's type of style.
