I am in fact angry about when the release of the next book in the series is, i know that it won't be coming out for quite a few more months, as for what it will be about, i think everyone is still in the dark, because Scott Lynch is a sadistic bastard who likes to torture his fans.

OMG THANK GOD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE!!! Do you know how hard it is to find a concentrated fanbase of LL fans!? There isn't one! Hence...no pressure on the author to keep on writing the bloody books!

I wouldn't mind so much if he just came out and told us what the heck was going on. Like, posted something on his blog or an update on the website. It's been dead since 2007 for crying out loud! This is so not fair. This way none of us really know what's going on...and I need to know what happens next!

I've read somewhere that he's actually finished the series, or at least the next two are already done, and he's just spacing out the releases to get a larger fanbase, which makes sense, but is totally aggravating!

as for the lack of prologues, i'm assuming it's to piss everyone off and make them attack the bookstore when it comes out, who knows?

I've been trawling the web for the last year or so trying to find some news and haven't heard ANYTHING! I know, it looks like he's got the whole series planned...just hope it actually happens... I think I know what happens in the 3rd book too!!! Wooo I don't want to ruin it for you though. But if it is what I think it is, it's going to be good. Very, very good. I just can't imagine how Jean's going to fit into it all can't imagine hanging out with him would be much fun.

Yes yes yes! Sabetha WILL turn up, she's on the cover of Book 3 holding a white mask and looking down on a town! I'm so excited I just can't wait for it.

Now, for my errrm theory you know the poison? I don't think it even exists! It's all just a mind game. Think about it - the alchemist just gives them some water or something and they've got to do as Stragos says either way cause they can never quite be sure! And I've heard that the plot of book 3 will centre around the Bondsmagi offering Locke a cure in exchange for some of his services during their election or something, the cure of which will be total and complete but very painful - I bet they're just going to torture the crap out of him and then tell him there was never a potion to begin with! Doesn't this fit Scott Lynch to a T??? hahahaha I sooo can't wait to see if I'm right, I bet I am though!

I found this other book called Scar Night by Alan Campbell that's been recomended by Scott Lynch, it's not that bad! Kinda weird, but in a good way, the second one recently came out

Eurgh, already read it. I really didn't like it that much. I think it was the way it kept jumping from one set of characters to another - I hate books that do that. The only real character I sympathised with was Dill and though the trip into hell at the end was entertaining I don't think it ever really picked up enough steam to carry me along. Thanks for the recomendation though, have you read "The Name of the Wind" by Patrick Rothfuss (or something like that...), it's published by Golanzc and I really enjoyed it.

Oh that Mr person...the one who wanted to avenge his daughter? Yeah, he pissed me off. SO unintelligent...and you never get to know his daughter so you don't sympathize with him at all...or at least, I never did. I don't know if I'll bother reading the next one, if you do better tell me the plot though

And March is an overly-optimistic date for Republic of Thieves if you ask me...sounds like they haven't got a clue when it's coming out. For all we know Scott Lynch hasn't even handed it into the publishers yet. Blergh. This does really hurt. I was looking forward to reading it so, so much...

ok, i'm right in the middle of iron angel now. it's frustrating, but there are some truly hilarious moments that have kept me going. at the beginning you have some beloved characters getting blown away left and right, but they'll probably come back to life, Dill has been possessed and he's back in hell, and the whole second half of the book so far is in his perspective, and the archon that's taken over his body has a great intro, and the second story arc they have goin on isn't to bad, the characters are pretty amusing. all in all the book can make you grind your teeth and roll your eyes, but i'm still glad i'm continuing with it.



i'm trying not the think about when the release of the republic of thieves, if i think about it too much i get pissed and lose the urge to read altogether, but i swear when it does come out i'm gunna end up throwing a fucking party.

I think i found it out after i finished the second book, my mom was helping me look online for it and amazon or something tipped us off, it was awhile ago though, so i'm not sure.
I've just been gritting my teeth and doing a count down till the new book comes out, my god, now i'm thinking about it all again and i'm going to go insane!
