Thank you. It seems like I am always overwhelmed lately by the amount of deviations that other people create, so I feel like there is no way I can view them all. That and just being busy.

purely my pleasure. It is beautifully done, and I particularly liked the one of Odin.
one thing though. not a big thing, but still something
according to the tales concernig the making of mjΓΈlnir, the handle was too short because of the doing of Loki. having that said, I still think the hammer you drew is pretty awesome!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SirGrunt In reply to Grautkjaefth [2010-03-22 20:19:09 +0000 UTC]

Pretty good, keeping busy, though a little stretched mentally. How about yourself?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

memod In reply to SirGrunt [2009-05-04 19:28:41 +0000 UTC]

Oh? What's causing that mental stretch? I hope it is more like flexing, rather than stressing

I am pretty good. Not looking forward to a bunch of uni work, so I opt for drawing today, haha

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SirGrunt In reply to memod [2009-05-05 14:58:34 +0000 UTC]

Well ... I'm pretty good at focusing on one thing (to the exclusion of all else), but not so good at juggling multiple things. I have about three projects going on, one with a contract that's got to be negotiated. Also I helped organize a gallery crawl a couple weeks ago, the work has to be taken down and returned to the different artists this week. So there's just more on my plate mentally than usual.

Drawing always beats studying. What are you studying, by the way.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

memod In reply to SirGrunt [2009-05-05 15:00:55 +0000 UTC]

Haha yeah, I see I can understand where you are coming from, it's always a bit unsettling when there are several things to worry about and take care of. It's quite similar here, really.
How did the gallery...crawl go, though? And what exactly does the 'crawl' part mean?

I am studying digital film and animation. And now in my last year it is all dry theory

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SirGrunt In reply to memod [2009-05-05 15:13:30 +0000 UTC]

That sounds like an interesting major, but yeah all theory would get pretty boring I guess. I suppose there must be a purpose for it, but well, experiencing a thing is usually much better than just talking about it. Best of luck with everything.

A crawl is an event where you have artwork displayed in two or more galleries or businesses in walking distance of each other; so that people can walk around, see different art shows and kind of explore the area. It went pretty well. In my hometown there is not much of an art scene and the downtown has been pretty dead for a while, but the crawl drew a pretty nice crowd, and people seemed to enjoy themselves.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

memod In reply to SirGrunt [2009-05-05 15:36:28 +0000 UTC]

Yeah especially when it seems to be theory for the sake of theory. That can be quite dull. And I hate stretching things that I could say in three paragraphs up to twenty pages

That crawl thing sounds pretty cool. How many artists did participate? I'm glad it turned out well Maybe it will 'stimulate' the art scene in your town a bit. I am curious if I can find artists in Berlin to hang out with...back in my hometown I didn't know any, either

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SirGrunt In reply to memod [2009-05-07 14:23:37 +0000 UTC]

I hate writing long papers, and prefer being concise myself.

Let's see, maybe about 30 artists, I guess. Most of them local.

Are there not many artists in Berlin, or have you just not gotten a chance to meet any?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

memod In reply to SirGrunt [2009-05-07 15:36:47 +0000 UTC]

Haha yeah, so you see where I am coming from.

Wow, that's quite a nice number there I suppose that means there will be a follow-up sometime?

Well I met two people from dA so far, but I do not know too many. We'll see, I certainly hope I will get to meet some Would be heaps of fun

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SirGrunt In reply to memod [2009-05-08 02:59:13 +0000 UTC]

Yes, we will probably do another one in November, one in spring and one in fall every year.

I wish you the best of luck finding other artists in Berlin. I've met a few around here, but most are much older than me, so I kind of know how you feel. Kind of.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

memod In reply to SirGrunt [2009-05-08 03:11:35 +0000 UTC]

That sure sounds great Good luck with those

And thanks, I sure have hopes, haha. And we'll see, there are certainly more deviants from berlin than from where I lived before. I just need to find them! And find out if they would like to go out to the city and draw, haha

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

SirGrunt In reply to memod [2009-05-10 13:59:28 +0000 UTC]

Best of luck to you too, mein Freund.
