I put that because I want to save as many points as I need for a 1-year premium membership (plus a few renewals), without have to worry about it overflowing the donation pool. Why don't they have one of those Pay-once-have-forever "Lifetime" Premium memberships on this site? A lot of other sites have that feature, especially file-sharing sites.

Because dA wants money. XD Also, premium membership is something like 5000 points for a year, nowhere near 6000000.
