im at my second choice now, kiad! (or ucca...) in maidstone. not exciting or big but its reptation isnt a total disaster and they were one of the only places to even consider 2nd choicers. i was alrite cos i actually wanted to come here. i couldve flipped a coin over here and brighton soooo

personally, i;ve got graphics down as my 2nd choice... and thats not what i wanna do at all...
so if i'm lucky enough to even get a 2nd choice interview (well... gloucester) then i'm gonna have to contact them first to try and get it changed to illustration!
oh the hassle!
but personally, i wasn't that close over choices, i was pretty set on Brighton...
oh well, ya win some, ya lose some... its Brighton that missed out, not me! (well... me to an extent)

yeah brighton benefits from location but the work ppl were doing there when i looked round, was pretty shit to be honest. i reckon you probably end up going a bit heavy on the social life side when at brighton.

I think you're right...
i know i would of probably got a bit carried away with drinking, partying and being social if i were there...
i mean, thats what you do at Uni, but i can see Brighton as being a lot heavier on that.

i'm now a little worried, cos Glosty have had my application for like 2 weeks (according to UCAS) and i haven't heard anything... if i don't even get a 2nd place interview i'm gonna be pissed off!

i'll ring Glosty in the next few days, i need a better portfolio anyway... so i need to be working on that...
i've been messing around at the moment with the idea of doing a whole sketchbook of Anaglyph sketches (the kind you put on red and green 3d glasses to look at) which'll be pretty cool!

you are doing an illustration course at the moment then?

oh, i got a place at cheltenham and glosty uni on wednesday...
i went for my interview and they gave me a place on the spot, said "i really like your work, love to have you on the course!"
it was amazing how enthusiastic he was about my work and about giving me a place compared to Brighton where they basically just took a shit on my work.

i can't wait till September now!
