I was ECSTATIC to see that I got him. It was like fate; perfect all around! It did cross my mind to use Booker in the prompt as he'd definitely keep the piece interesting, but I'll have to see when I get to that part. I don't want to be all over the place again, you know?

I do have a couple questions involving Seth. Was there any previous accidents he was part of? Does he risk his life a lot to protect everyone around? Does he have a partner on the field?

Also is he just a patrol officer or is he part of a certain department?

Do whatever works best for your prompt. I won't be offended if Booker doesn't fit in at all. I just want to see you tell a good story and help you do that if I can.

Let's see... Seth has been a cop for a long time at the point I chose, about twenty years, plus earlier education, internships, etc. He's been injured plenty of times. I don't have any specific accidents plotted out, but feel free to establish something if it seems reasonable.

Seth does risk his life from time to time to protect people, but he's much more likely to try and put no one at risk. He's smart, experienced, and not likely to be reckless, just resolute. He's okay with dying in the line of duty if he could be sure it was the right course of action.

He doesn't have a permanent partner at this time. Seth works in the Organized Crime Division and is well known by the crime rings in the area with a sense of cautious respect. His usual duties are investigation and diplomacy at this point, but things go wrong easily. His wife works in Homicides, which was the division Seth had started in years ago.

And this bits of information will definitely help me out! I want to make sure I portray Seth Crane correctly seeing how I am about to get pretty intimate with his soul.

Now comes the part of formulating a decent tale for this round, mmm.

I like Seth. He's an important secondary character to Booker's story because Miri's death and Booker's disappearance had such a huge impact on him. Seth was the sibling between Booker and Miri in age and looked up to Booker when they were kids. The thought that his brother might have done something to harm his sister was inexcusable and impossible and he needed to prove to himself at the very least that it wasn't true.

As he got older, met Booker again, and came to terms with some of what happened, Seth mellowed out to be level-headed as well as driven and intelligent. He knows about Booker's curse, though it took him a while to believe in it, and is more willing to roll with the unusual because of it.

Knowing all this makes it so hard to think I have to reap him. I mean, I have such history with Booker and now to go after his brother? This is going to be very emotional for me.

I might have to put Booker in here so I can make Bowman get a little soft about the situation.

Don't feel bad about it. Death comes for everyone at some point. Which is actually pretty much Seth's opinion on the matter too, though he'll be sad to leave his family. Unless there was some crisis threatening his loved ones, he'd be fairly willing to move on, though not necessarily quick to trust such motley crews as his escorts.

As a note, this is a world where Booker went to the Exchange tournament and never came back, so Booker himself isn't in that world and hasn't been for years. Walker watches out for his family in those worlds when he can. Walker might actually be a good way of getting Seth to go with someone, but that's just a random side thought.

I'd love to see what a "soft" Bowman looks like.

Since they were fairly long I was waiting for when I could sit down at the computer for a sufficiently long enough time to read everything in one go but from what I've seen of your style I think I'm going to have fun with your characters. I thought it was pretty funny it'd turn out that way myself! I know I read pieces of your audition but I'll go back in to read the fine detail, such as his chicken. And I am going to have a blast with your character because that is the right amount of crazy for me. I'll do my best to do him justice!

I think that was a good call making him human. From what I have seen, a lot of folks are using animal-humanoid for their entries.Is he going in alone?

I am pretty much trying to decide if it is a good idea a four-man team or just do a two-man squad.

As far as I know I think Myles is going to be going it alone. I think Mips is making the rules to have only one real main character who fights and is the protagonist and such, although you may have infinite side characters.

Yeah, I saw that. Only one character can be the Death God and do the reaping but I figured a group of supporters wouldn't be too bad to have, not to mention give me a plot later down the road for some personal stories.
