You let out a long sigh as you brushed snow off your shoulder. It was a cold day. Snow continued to drift down peacefully from the clouds and you looked up at the gray sky.
βThe snowβs beautiful, but the sky looks so gloomy.β
A small cry interrupted your thoughts and you turned to stare at the empty alleyway beside you. The cry came again, a little louder this time.
You hesitated before walking slowly towards the alleyway, trying to find the source of the sound. It wasnβt long before you came across a small black and white kitten who was curled up in a small box, mewling in despair.
You reached out slowly to stroke the kittenβs fur. He leaned in hungrily to your touch and stared at you. You picked him up carefully, cradling him in your arms.
βHow long have you been alone? And itβs cold and snowing, tooβ you murmured, removing your scarf and wrapping it around the kitten, βhow could someone just leave you like this? You poor thing
