# About me
FIRST OFF: If you like my work and want to put it on your page, ASK FIRST. I am a professional with two businesses: photography and Highland Dress manufacture. My work is very personal. I spend many hours in recreating 18th and 19th century Highland Dress accessories. I have also spent hundreds of hours researching and copying accurate reproductions of these items.
In my photography I am meticulous in setting mood and theme. If you like my work, buy a print. Don't just snipe it to your page without asking first. I'm really picky as to who shows my photographs, and my models don't appreciate seeing their images on other people's websites. It's called THEFT, and if I can find you, I'll come over, burn your house down with you and everyone you love inside, then shoot those who make it out, and play a piobaireachd marching around your burning dump of a house while you scream. Got it?
Thank you for your co-operation....
I am a silversmith, cordwainer, and photographer who designs and makes Scottish Highland Dress accessories and jewellery - and captures images of beautiful women.
I am one of a very few traditional Scottish silversmiths still active, producing the traditional sterling silver accessories of the Highlander - buckles, sporrans, dirks, sgian dubh, and brooches. In many cases the designs are my interpretations of traditional forms, with a modern twist, as in the ebony dirk and sgian handles. In addition to the silver, I also do the leather work associated with these items - leather and fur sporran pouches, waist and sword belts, shooting bags, and scabbards. The traditional name for those who practice this craft is 'cordwainer.' I also design heraldic and regimental pipe banners and flags for re-enactors, pipe bands, and armigers.
I run a full-service Scottish haberdashery, selling bespoke kilts, jackets, doublets, kilt hose, and footwear made to my exacting standards. In addition I sell bagpipes made by three top pipemakers, accessories, music books, and bagpipe cds. I also now represent the last military dirk and sgian maker in Scotland.
In April 2012 I returned to my original profession after an absence of more than two decades with Through A Glass Photography, doing glamour portraits and nudes in the 1930s styles of George Hurrell and Clarence Sinclair Bull, the fashion gods of the 50s and 60s, Avedon, Bailey, Stern, Penn, and French, or in the 'gonzo' style I developed on my own in the 60s and 70s shooting news and candids (I've done everything from sports and parades to combat). I shoot on film in studio in 6X6 format, or full-frame Canon digital anywhere. My work can also be seen at http://throughaglassphoto.zenfolio.com, and I am a contributing photographer at http://www.zivity.com/photographers/Tullibardine
