I'm pretty okay today. Took some photographs(albeit mediocre), wrote a paper or two and since then have been reading and thinking of poem ideas.

I did. It isn't perfect by any means but it fits the requirements and has some flow to it so hopefully the grade shows that.

I've been REALLY wanting to do something on what's going on in Wisconsin and Libya but I just can't figure out how to properly start it. I have the message in mind - but can't figure out how to grab the reader.

I actually didn't end up writing anything like I wanted - but I wrote something today. Here it is!

Covering our eyes on the eastern hemisphere
specifically, the United States
is a marketing scheme that has led
myself and others to believe
This land is a democracy
which means "rule by the people"
Yes that's right - US!
We rule the land despite our differences
of social class or wealth

But in this Republic it seems as if
that is forgotten.
The middle class has slowly been deteriorating
thanks to the corporate funded
politicians
who care more about their legacy
than the people they're suppose to serve



This election has swerved this country
back into the paws of shape-shifiting elephants
who spike the rights of union workers
In this group are teachers, who according to some
are
"glorified babysitters who deserve minimum wage"


In Wisconsin and Providence
protesters and union workers
wage a war against these criminals
who, if, the research was done properly
could have been kept out of sight
and out of mind

I, only 19, see the fucking madness
of this all and unlike some
realize this effects US! -

I fuss because I care, hoping
that - young folks like me
will see

the longevity of their actions
if we continue to sit on our ass
and quote Wacka Flocka Flame

This is our life. Our livelihood.
in their hands and without proper brute force
they'll continue to treat us and the country



like a kids game.
