# About me

CJ aka The C-Sweet is a semi-retired human resources consultant and college professor who made a conscious decision in February 2012 to focus on the things that mattered most in her life and stop doing what did not serve that purpose. So I quit my corporate job and have never looked back.
I started out with some research on mixed media art technique because I wanted to mess around with all sorts of mediums, textures, colors, materials and in the course of that research found the fabulous Art is You! mixed media art retreat in Stamford, CT. I attended last year and it changed my life.
I also discovered deviantART and am thrilled to have a place to post an online gallery of my work as well as enjoy the work of others.
I'm the type of person who can appreciate good work in any medium or genre although some just don't appeal to me--I'd by lyin' if I said I loved it all, right?
I hope you'll pop into my gallery and see some of what I do. Right now it's a bit all over the map but mostly abstract art in one form or another...you'll find drawings, paintings and collage mostly.

Sometimes we think changes are hard to make (and sometimes they are) but we always tend to look back and think that wasn't so hard lol.
