Oh yes - I've made several. This one's probably the best origami hydralisk I've found so far.
I also tried coming up with a zergling (as suggested in your instructions), but to no avail (yet). I have, however, come up with something that could pass for a mutalisk.

That's really cool that you've started looking into designing some other units. What have you tried so far for the zergling? That would be my next one, though I haven't put much thought into it yet.
It would be a bit more complex than the hydralisk, given that you'd need six points for the legs, plus one for the head and one for the tail. I guess I'll have to look through my origami books to see if I can find any bases that would match that shape.

Well, the only thing I've tried so far was the frog base, but like you mentioned, six points are needed for the legs, and the frog base is two points short of that.

No problem, I am frequently guilty of the same.
A blintzed frog base might do it - eight points, right? But that's also a bit too generic. Maybe there's a way to get a shifted blintzed frog base, like the shifted bird base I used for the hydralisk. Though probably the best approach would be to look through a book of insect models or something, and see if any have a similar body shape.

That was actually an excellent tip!
I went ahead and learned what a blintz frog base was, made a few changes, and now I have something that has the general shape of a zergling - two extremities above, four below and three other points that I can't figure out how to arrange yet.

After about a year, I have finally discovered your comment on one of my pics about you shaving your head. I think that is totally admirable. I too have thought of doing that many many times before
People say "Dont do it!", but there is sometyhing about it that I find so creative and fascinating.

Wow! After all this time I had already forgotten about having posted that comment!
Well, interestingly enough, it depends on what time of the year you choose to do so. It feels wonderful during summer, as a lot of heat leaves the body through the head, and it's easier to stay fresh with a shaved head.
However, I also tried it later during winter, and it's definitely not a good idea then. Cold wind doesn't feel so good in the head when you want to stay warm.
I did it more out of curiosity about the physical sensations than for wanting to make a statement - though maybe my willingness to do it may be a statement itself.
As for you shaving your head... I'll admit I'd be weirded out at first at the sight of a bald girl, but it's your choice, and if you really want to do it, go for it!
