Anyway, life is good. I moved to Nova Scotia for work, I make video games now. The new place is cool, also went to visit a friend in Taiwan this summer, so it's been a good year.

I assume this wedding is yours? Congratulations! What type of internship are you doing?

I know exactly what you mean about being busy. I'm enrolled full time at school, working toward my photography degree. It's amazing I have much time for anything these days, lol. I was planning on letting my DA account fall by the way side but it won't stop tugging at my heart strings
I'm still reconsidering it but for now I've opted to be more active and showcase some new pieces.

Well being in a photography degree should make it a little easier to be active on dA since you'll have lots of content to submit!

I finished my Master's degree last spring and after being lazy all summer I got a job on the east coast of Canada. I moved out here in November and I've been having a great time! Unfortunately having a full time job leaves less time for art, honestly I haven't done anything terribly artistic in a while. Well I did do one drawing a friend commissioned me for, but that was probably back at the beginning of last summer.

I might have to invest in a good camera and start taking photos. There are lots of great sights out here and my place doesn't give me a great workspace for drawing. Hopefully again someday.

Good to see you back, I just have to make an effort to visit more regularly!

Hey! I was looking down my friends list not too long ago and wondered where you've been what a coincidence! Another longtime missing friend just messaged me also, I guess the onset of fall brings people back.

I don't post art regularly, but I still visit to check out everyone's art I'm too busy finishing my Master's degree to get that much drawing done. Good to hear you are going to be dropping by more often. What have you been up to?

Yeah. I completely forgot about DA and my camera for a while. I've been so caught up in school and work it just seems I haven't found the time. But I've gotten better about budgeting my time and I've found a few new models to work with so I should be producing a lot more work soon.

I think it was actually tattoo stuff that got me thinking about you. I had a photo of the tattoo you drew up for me and it made me think about you I'm working on my other side piece and trying to figure out how to blend your piece in with it. Once it's done it's going to look amazing, but it's going to cost a fortune in the mean time, lol.

What are you getting your masters in?

School does that to every it seems, but is important to give these things your full attention to succeed Definitely worth the break.

Other side project? Sounds intriguing

It's going to be an homage to Maynard James Keenan! Different images are going to represent songs from Puscifer, Tool, APC and any Maynard work. I think so far it has 40 visual references but due to the placement it's going to extend partially onto my back and a part of my thigh.

Ooooh very nice. I wish I had any sort of skill when it came to that field.

That will be an awesome homage! Tons of great material to draw from. I happen to be wearing a Lateralus hoodie as I write this and it alone has terrific imagery. Can't wait to get an update, it sounds like it will be huge.

It's going to be a slow process but it will definitely be worth it. Thankfully since my other sidepiece was done by the man who will being doing my Maynard piece I won't have to pay as much considering I only let him touch me with a needle, lol

On a piece that large it is definitely good to get a discount. Some places charge obscene amount for even simple designs.

Definitely. I've been going to the same guy since I turned 18. If he didn't work for Club Tattoo the rates would be lower but he's still pretty awesome about working around the price

I'm very happy to hear that. I went back through your gallery and recognized a few of the pieces, and sure enough, there were comments from me It's great to see someone who appreciates feedback as opposed to always being defensive when it comes to their art.
