I can't think in Fahrenheit only centigrade but I know one thing
-40 deg F = -40 deg C
Been working on a job in Kharshi, Uzbekistan recently where temperature range is -27 C in winter to 49 C in summer
By comparison in UK the temperature ranges from -3 C to 28 C not so extreme 😁
