Honestly, I was more popular when I was 14 and had just started drawing 'cause I did a lot of fanart. As your style changes people come and go, it's just part of it. I'm starting to get popular on facebook though.

Yeah and the majority audience on here is either anime or furry. So by the time I got to my senior year of high school when I slowed down on furry and anime because I was preparing to go to art school, I had no viewers pretty much. dA is more content driven than skill, but it's like that with most things.

That explains a lot actually. You could draw like a 5 year old but as long as you are drawing something popular, you will get popular.
