# About me

My name is Steven Darden my title as an artist is the wireboss. I've been creating since I was very young, it was a way to escape an abusive father and to also have something of my own that no one could or can take from me. As I've gotten older and more evolved, my children have done the same. I began as a child with twist ties from the super market and everything being small and handheld, as an adult I've built a 16 foot long chinese dragon for wholefoods market(gotta find the pictures). My figures are both free standing figurative wire and metal sculpture and specialized toys, as well as being made from re-purposed materials. I have always loved movement, this is why all of my children are jointed fro head to toe, which means that they are fully articulated and pose-able. Durability is no issue for my children either, you literally take one and throw it across the street and it would just bounce, I know this because I've tried it!!! My inspirations are many and I find myself never truly focusing on one, why should I anyway? I take commissions, I love working on custom pieces/figures es-specially when it is something that I have not made or possess a formulae/schematic for yet.
