And that was a fantasic chapter, but i just got a few compliants.
Β» Shay is supposed to be a "male" since she doesn't want a lot of people to know she'll a female for secret reasons.
Β» It seems as though Karla and Shay aren't really doing anything to help the case, I know you put them in there for my sake and for your reasons, but it just seems kind if awkward to me that they're just making jokes, following the gang around, and that they just put in their comments about the case or the people involved. They're not really assigned to the case?
Β» Shay... Really loves to laugh. She is a bit humorous, yes, but the constant giggles, laughs, chuckles are making me a tad bit annoyed throughout the chapter.

Yes, 75% of this is about my characters, but since I am the creator, yeah I'm going to judge. You don't have to take these comments to heart, but you can do some alterations if you must.

I'm thinking of different pieces of evidence and trying to make them as original as possible.

And with Shay's laughter, I was reading my chapter over and actually noticed how repetive it was and I was like, "wtf, why did I do this?"

Thinking of originality of anything can be difficult, so don't beat yourself up. I to have struggled plenty of times.
And I do think you need to reread all your chapters, I still see bits of female pronouns here and there about Shay, just giving you a heads up. Read it slow, and think about how it's being used.
If you're running out of ideas, read some books that are mystery, look up any items on google, try to get creative. It doesn't HAVE to be original, but enough to know it's important.
I also think you should incorporate some small details from the game, if you want to of course.
For example: If you have taken up evidence, You could bold [EVIDENCE] INCLUDED IN COURT RECORDS, or something like that.
